Official Haberle Congress Lager Launch Event
The Haberle family has been working tirelessly for the past several years to
reintroduce their historic beers. Last year, they announced long planned intentions of these releases and are happy to announce that today there is an official launch date for the first of several upcoming re-releases, Congress Lager.
The family will hold a launch event at Empire Farm Brewery in Cazenovia, NY on the very bricks that once formed the original brewery 100 years ago. The event will be on Saturday July 27 from 1pm-4pm. The significance of the location isn’t solely related to the bricks. Empire has been Haberle’s brewing partner for the past year and consulting partner for far longer.
This event marks the launch of Haberle’s Congress Lager. Congress was Haberle’s most popular brand from the late 1800s through 1962. The Haberles worked with Empire’s team and analytical labs around the country to dissect original unopened Congress Beers and create a beer true to its predecessor.
The event will be open to the public and the first 25 guests will receive Congress branded pint glasses. Free tastings of both Congress and the upcoming Derby Cream Ale will be served and pint servings available at reduced prices, as well as appetizers available. The event will kick off with a few words from members of the family, followed by live music from Jamie Cunningham and authentic Haberle
memorabilia on display.
Soon after the launch of Congress, the beer will be widely available in 16 oz. cans. Local vendors are TBA.
